Roundtable Description
As we celebrate five years of pedagogic innovation, the next transformative leap lies in collaboration. This roundtable is dedicated to forging a vibrant Research-Academic-Industry ecology that translates cutting-edge advancements in AI and Pedagogical Technology into equitable, human-centered educational impact.
We convene academic leaders and researchers from HKUST, Southeast University, South China Normal University with industry pioneers from Tencent, XuetangX, NewClass, Sangfor Technologies, HK Learning in Tech to move beyond discussion. Our goal is to establish strategic alliances/partnerships and actionable frameworks for joint curriculum development and applied research that cultivate the problem-solving skills essential for the future workforce.
Join us to help build the collaborative ecosystems needed to scale innovation, ensure ethical practices, and align pedagogical technology with the goals of equity and excellence. Let’s move from celebration to co-creation.
Key Discussion Points
- How can universities and companies actually work together to create new AI-assisted courses and textbooks? (For example: co-developing a new curriculum for “AI-Assisted Academic Writing.”)
- What does a successful partnership look like for building the online classrooms of the future? (Let’s move beyond theory to practical models for designing and testing new digital learning tools together.)
- What specific skills do graduates need for the future, and how can we build training for them now? (Focus on creating short, practical modules or credentials that directly address industry needs.)
- How do we make sure these new AI tools and courses are fair, ethical, and accessible to everyone? (Discussing real challenges like data privacy, cost, and teacher training.)
- What support is needed to make these partnerships last beyond a single project? (Exploring ongoing funding, shared goals, and institutional commitment.)
